Competition Sites:

To get your bearings, first take a look at the custom map of the Madison area and event sites that Dave Bogenhagen has put together for us.

Disc Golf - Madison has three courses to choose from to hold the disc golf event, with one being the new Vallarta-Ast showcase course at Token Creek Park. Vallarta-Ast is a beautiful, regularly maintained and groomed course with some great “golf” holes. Nelly gave it a touch of class with some wonderful rock formation and flower gardens around several holes. The other courses include Elver, Madison's first course, and Hiestand which was started with a generous donation from Madison Ultimate Frisbee Association because of the WFDF Ultimate World Club Championships held in 1993. Expect a great golfing experience at two of these fine courses! As in recent years, the event is also slated to have a PDGA X-tier sanction.

Check out a great online photo album of the Madison area disc golf courses. Webmaster is Jim Van Lanen and photos by Jason Erdman.

Discathon - We have a fun course design which has been used for Wisconsin State Overalls for the past several years. It has great varietyˆ start with a flat run past the creek, do a bit of a zig zag course along the main road where lots of passers by can see what's going on, push it up radar hill and through the woods with the big finish coming down the hill (great view of Madison) into the main field of spectators!

Accuracy, Field Events, DDC - Field events may be held at the University Bay Fields. The really great thing is that we would have space to run two pools of distance at the same time. If anyone gets crazy doing TRC, the hospital is just across the street– so go for the long one!!

Freestyle - We are in the process of finding the best site for freestyle. We are looking for an area that has good space and ground but also traffic, people traffic!
