Presented by: A Disc's Throw
Team Wisconsin welcomes you to
the 2003 World Masters and Juniors Overall Flying Disc
Championships! We have been working steadily for over a year now
preparing for this event, and without a doubt, this year's
tournament will be of the highlights of the 2003 Flying Disc
tournament season. You do not want to miss this opportunity to
gather with old friends, make new friends, and play disc sports
in the delightful city of Madison, WI, situated between five
sparkling lakes.
We invite you to browse through these web pages to find out more
about the event. The tournament runs from June 23 through June
27, 2003. Players 35 years of age and older, or 18 years of age
and under, are welcome to enter the tournament We have a great
player's package with lots of great goodies, and we will be
covering the costs of special activities and several meals during
the week.
This year, we continue the trend of linking the Masters Overall
with the Juniors Overall. We would like to thank the Titcomb
Foundation whose generous grant helped us host the Juniors this
year. Please take a look at the list of our other sponsors,
listed here on these pages.
The AmericInn in Monona is our host hotel. The AmericInn is
conveniently located near the Beltline freeway for easy access to
all places in Madison. During your off times, or for visiting
non-players, there are many
attractions to explore. Shoppers will be thrilled with State
Street, a pedestrian corridor linking the Capitol and the
University of Wisconsin. Check out the Olbrich Gardens and the
beautiful Thai Pavilion, the trails
and trees at Arboretum or Picnic Point, or Frank Lloyd Wright's
Monona Terrace, the State Capital, or the Children's Museum.
Other tempting options include live music, art museums,
galleries, and theaters. Not far
from the city are Devil's Lake State Park and hiking trails, the
Cave in the Mounds, the Circus World Museum, and Wisconsin Dells.
For more ideas with details and pictures, check out the many
Madison web sites on our Links page, including: http://www.ci.madison.wi.us/.
