The Madison Area Disc Club and Team Wisconsin are excited to announce The World Masters Overall Flying Disc Championship. Players will participate in eight different disc sport events for the chance to win the coveted Championship Title. The tournament will be held in Madison, Wisconsin from June 22-27, 2003.
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your company's products and services at a family oriented, fun-filled athletic event. Your sponsorship message will be highlighted in several ways before, during, and after the event.
Disc sports are an inexpensive, health promoting, life-long form of recreation for players of all ages, abilities, and careers. Frisbee sports promote family values, friendly competition, and include youth and co-ed participation. Events include disc golf, freestyle, distance, accuracy, and several other field games. The organizers of the event are Madison Area Disc Club, Ltd. members, over-all competitors, and world champions. MADC is a non-profit organization that promotes flying disc sports. Members maintain courses and run high profile tournaments, such as this World Overall Championship. Members organize league play, staff tournaments, and promote disc sports through educational programs at schools, clubs, libraries, corporate picnics, and other venues. There are currently over 40 disc golf courses in Wisconsin with more being planned. Take a look at the a map to see one near you.
The Opening Ceremony on Sunday, June 22 will provide sponsoring organizations promotional exposure. Sponsors are welcome to set up a display booth and provide handouts for the player packet that each participant will receive. If you sponsor $200 or more, we will personally introduce you to the players at the reception. We also would like to invite you to drop by and watch the games any day of the event or join us for the evening activities planned throughout the week, especially the fund-raising auction for the Save the Children charity. Disc sports today are different from the Frisbee games you might remember playing in your backyard or on the beach 15 years ago. We hope you will take the time to see the excitement of the games, and the camaraderie of the participants.
